Fear and Loathing on the Pitcher’s Mound

Growing up in Pittsburgh, I’ve heard the incredible story of Dock Ellis pitching a no-hitter for the Pirates in the early 1070s, while out of his mind on LSD. Although Hunter S. Thompson could surely relate, the rest of us might have a hard imagining what it would be like to perform your job under the influence of powerful hallucinogens while thousands of people watched. Fortunately, NoMasTV and artist James Blagden have created an illustrated account of Ellis’ historic day, er trip.
